Inking…dude. The shit just got real, son! That was my Martin Lawrence impression from Bad Boys. Greatest action movie…ever.
Update on the cover for Prison Break (written by Reza & Shahab Zargari.)
Decided to ink the main figure first. He’s the main character and focal point. I started with the easier parts of the figure and then, after dusting off the cobwebs, I went for the face. Doing razor stubble is tough. I feel dumb for typing that but hey… it was tough.
Any areas that would be filled with black are dealt with last… i.e., the pants. So for now I use those areas to get rid of excess ink and sharpen the tip of the brush. Also you can see a piece of paper under my paw, that’s so I don’t smudge the pencils or get ink on my skin and then screw up the drawing by getting ink spots on it. Full on nerdity. Take no prisoners death metal status level 4!
I’m beat. My brain hurts. I need sleep. I really need to do something about this Alan Moore/ Opie vibe I’m rockin’.

so much talent.
(i’m talking about the ability to grow a beard that epic.

just kidding.)

my friends never cease to inspire me.
dear brian, please teach me how to draw a square without the assistance of a ruler some day? i’ll always look up to you… unless of course i’m kicking your ass at iphone connect 4.

if you live in or anywhere around NY you should go check this out before nov.19aj fosik’s work is INCREDIBLE. it’s all hand crafted from wood.
Fosik says, “every piece undergoes full woodshop gestation. I build an entire wooden skeleton from 2x4’s and framing nails, on top of that goes plywood and gold screws forming muscle and sinew, another layer of wooden flesh over that and finally I skin the beast with luan chips.”
