Update on the cover for Prison Break (written by Reza & Shahab Zargari.)
Decided to ink the main figure first. He’s the main character and focal point. I started with the easier parts of the figure and then, after dusting off the cobwebs, I went for the face. Doing razor stubble is tough. I feel dumb for typing that but hey… it was tough.
Any areas that would be filled with black are dealt with last… i.e., the pants. So for now I use those areas to get rid of excess ink and sharpen the tip of the brush. Also you can see a piece of paper under my paw, that’s so I don’t smudge the pencils or get ink on my skin and then screw up the drawing by getting ink spots on it. Full on nerdity. Take no prisoners death metal status level 4!
I’m beat. My brain hurts. I need sleep. I really need to do something about this Alan Moore/ Opie vibe I’m rockin’.
